statement

Paul Yank was a world traveler and studied cultural anthropology along with getting his degree in Fine Art. Yank’s subject matter derives from a variety of global civilizations. Cultures of American Indian, Australian Aborigine, Celtic, Italy, China, Japan, Nigeria, Mayan civilization, and Greek mythology all play a role in Yank’s artwork. Similarities throughout cultures can be found with symbols of fertility or life-giving creatures or dragons that are common to ancient Celtic and Chinese cultures.
